SCRUM - An Agile Approach
At Advantal, we develop software applications using the Scrum methodology. Scrum is an agile methodology for project management with an iterative approach. The Scrum methodology manages the development process through many small steps, rather than trying to plan everything in advance.
With scrum, the product is built in a series of fixed-length iterations called sprints that give teams a framework for shipping software on a regular cadence. A sprint goal summarizes the desired outcome of an iteration. It provides a shared objective, and states why it’s worthwhile undertaking the sprint.
Sprint goal has five main benefits, particularly for new products and new features: It facilitates prioritization and effective teamwork; it makes it easier to obtain and analyze feedback; and it helps with stakeholder communication.
